Payment Ratings
Payre uses a proprietary scoring model to assign a Payment Rating to every business entity in the registrar. This rating is a reflection of the entity's payment reputation and a suggestive early warning indicator of one's ability to meet its financial obligations on time. The rating is based on publicly available data (news media, financial information and legal notices), user-contributed payment reviews, and the official registry status.
Rating Grades
Good Payment Reliability
Strong track record of prompt payments with no recently reported late payment issues by claimants or creditors.
Criteria: High positive score (>5 points) and passed the going concern.
Norm Payment Reliability
Standard rating for operational businesses. Indicates a generally reliable payer with either balanced record of payments or a short history.
Criteria: Base score (0-4 points) and passed the going concern.
Fair Payment Reliability
Reflects recent late payment reports or mixed reviews from claimant or creditors. Caution is advised when extending credit.
Criteria: Negative score (-1 to -10 points) and passed the going concern.
Poor Payment Reliability
Severe payment delinquency reports or is no longer classified as a "going concern" (e.g., in liquidation, struck off, or ceased registration).
Criteria: Very low score (below -10 points) or failed the going concern.
How Scores Are Calculated
The Payre Score accumulates points based on verifiable data. Positive actions build trust, while negative reports carry significant weight to protect creditors. This system ensures that businesses with a solid payment history are rewarded, while those showing signs of distress are flagged early.
Adding Points
- +5Verified External DataIf official sources confirm a high volume of good payments (more than 5 verified transactions).
- +1Positive User ReportEach time a verified user reports a "Good" payment experience.
Deducting Points
- -5Negative User ReportEach time a verified user reports a "Poor" payment experience (e.g., late payment, default).
- -5Recent Activity PenaltyAn additional penalty is applied if the *most recent* report received is negative, signaling a current cashflow issue.
